If the pandemic continues under Biden, he won't look like he's in control. Can't have that.
But if a recession hits, they can blame it all on Trump and his "fuzzy" math to make it look like the country was stronger than it really was.
Gotta pick your level of control. A pandemic is worn out and they've effectively sold it as Trump's problem. Plus, it's hard to push for "healthcare reform" if everyone is still actively worried about their health and not how much it costs them per month for healthcare. At this point, people might pay anything to stay safe from the "deadly" virus. But, if the virus goes away, the economy screeches to a halt, and and people start losing money and jobs, then the cost of their healthcare might seem exorbitant, and they'll look for Biden to fix it...
And this is how we get the movement towards socialized healthcare.
