We're fighting an enemy much more difficult to fight than they did. We're fighting an entrenched government / system, they were fighting the equivalent of a country on the moon. I'm not sure in history there are any if not just a few select cases if even that of freedom being restored in an already corrupt country.
I believe the ONLY way it's ever been done is by declaring independence / secession and getting freedom oriented patriots in a clear major majority group.
President Trump said I think in his Jan 6th address "we've tried the whole system, we let the whole system go through". He didn't just mean the election, he meant his whole presidency. There is no going through the system, it's only secession / independence now.
I totally agree. Everyone keeps talking about 1776 2.0 and "Washington would have been stacking bodies by now" but this is a completely different type of war. With that said though, we're still failing. There won't be another civil war, I only hope we can get some free states to secede.
We’re not failing, we just proved / showed going through the system isn’t going to work. That is a major step in the next steps of progress we need to take.
That is why it is so vital we get out to as many people as possible that the election was rigged and the proof and their belief.

To my understanding George Washington was actually a deflected British general / colonel. WE didn't do it alone, we had the military.
GW was a General but the troops were rag tag farmers and craftsmen
