Why do labor unions endorse the dems anyways?

66
PN_OShea [S] 66 points ago +66 / -0

They pay the Higher Ups for their loyalty, who then look present themselves as the "Common Man" and help perpetuate the propaganda within their echo chambers for control of people who, if thinking clearly, would be leading them all to the guillotine with burning torches and pitchforks.

I have a friend who's Dad was UAW. His father died from cancer when he was 10, and the Union benefits 'kept their family from starving'.
This, he explained to me once, was why he was "An Independent thinker who always votes for the Democratic Party." I asked if he'd ever voted for a Republican, even once.

Nope.

Then that's not much of an Independent Thinker, is it?

Unions, like all other forms of social security and welfare, are merely organizations to maintain propaganda and exert control.
I'm not against organized negotiations of workers, really. But I think the minute they start telling people how to vote, they've stepped over the line from workplace concerns into controlling personal freedoms.

Akka 11 points ago +11 / -0

Would it be possible to start new unions for the workers? Based alternatives to the old ones which could lure some of the members away from the old ones and weaken their power a bit, redpill at least some of the workers and so on? What are the laws and regulations like? You really should do everything to chip away from the Dem/uniparty base, they cheat, sure, but the fewer actual voters they have the harder that is, especially for them to do it unnoticed.

MUDLORD 9 points ago +9 / -0

The unions have negotated contracts with places that will pay union wages, and it would be highly unlikely for a place to break their contract, without facing reprocussions.

4
PN_OShea [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sigh, there you go. Ruining a good daydream with facts and stuff.

Good observation.

Still, I'd like to hope there'd be some way to break the monopoly.

1
MUDLORD 1 point ago +1 / -0

I completely agree. I would love to help the other guy but the reality is I have found the best way to affect any change is from the inside.

MySidesGoUp 9 points ago +9 / -0

The worst unions are usually repping state/federal govt ‘work’.

Their excuse is they get ‘job security cuz private sector pays more...’. It’s like 99 weeks of unemployment. Fucking apes...

13
Skyrison 13 points ago +13 / -0

kickbacks, money, power, etc

4
Turbotron 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's supposed ro be "money, power, respect" but they don't seem to give a shit about any respect.

The answer to your question is simple, once you understand one simple concept:

Labor Unions only care about one thing: The union leadership. They care about nothing else. They don't care about the line-workers, they don't care about the job, they don't care about the craft.

Certainly they talk a good game. They provide training, and pensions, and insurance. However, these are only to ensure a continuous line of future dues-payers, and have no other purpose. If they could get by without any of these, they would (except the insurance and pension funds, because, as Jimmy Hoffa pioneered, those funds are a great source of money to skim off into slush funds and personal bank accounts.)

They will do nothing to protect/defend the individual worker, unless that worker has some pull, or knows the right people and has favors owed.

Once you realize that unions are largely a scam built to enrich the few who run it, you realize why the unions are so eager to (apparently) fuck themselves over. Oh, you're in the shop and you're now out of work? Tough shit - keep paying those dues and premiums, or we drop all the benefits that you paid so much and so long into. Oh, and now we get the chance to whine long and loud about how unfair those evil managers and execs have been in causing this massive layoff.

4
kumala_harris 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sounds like a shitty union.

4
Libertas_Vel_Mors 4 points ago +5 / -1

Most of them are.

-5
kumala_harris -5 points ago +1 / -6

As someone in a union, that's just downright wrong. Anti-unionism is anti-american

"The only effective answer to organized greed is organized labor."

4
PN_OShea [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Alrighty.... as someone which only sees the problem from the outside, and as our esteemed based Pede looking at it from within...

...how do you solve the issue of union management greed and political graft while protecting the representation of the actual workers?

Seriously. From the guy who has actually seen it on a first hand basis, how would you solve it?

2
CrimsonClown 2 points ago +2 / -0

... aaaaand he’s gone.

1
PN_OShea [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Quickest way to get rid of a shill is to ask them to actually respond with intelligent answers.

It's a legitimate question. Workers deserve representation, but representatives that won't go corrupt and sell them out as empty votes for a political machine.

How do we find a functional balance?

3
PN_OShea [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

So basically.... The DNC/Uniparty on an industry-by-industry case?

Mini-swamps? Bogs?

Swamplettes?

2
cultural_revolution 2 points ago +2 / -0

But the whole point of unions is collective bargaining for the worker and the ability to strike, negotiate wages and benefits.

In fact Amazon and Walmart have worked to gut unions at every level.

How exactly are union leadership elected?

4
spezisacuckold 4 points ago +4 / -0

Habit.

They unironically still believe they're supporting the same Democrat party of 30-40 years ago. They're really just too stupid to see that the platform has COMPLETELY changed from what they used to believe in.

31
trump212121 31 points ago +31 / -0

Red pills are everywhere now. Everything they do and every policy move they make now is another red pill.

26
PN_OShea [S] 26 points ago +26 / -0

Yeah, now we just have to keep being vocal enough to shove it down their throats.

Redpiling most people is like trying to medicate a cat - expect resistance, and for them to try and hurt you.

I don't care any more.

It's time to be the Pain in the Ass that just Won't Let It Go.

Just lost your good paying pipeline/pipe fitter job?

Good fucking LUCK finding another one. There are so many people out of work right now. Maybe when WTI gets back to $75-$100/bbl people can get back to work

16
PN_OShea [S] 16 points ago +16 / -0

Kinda looking forward to Texas seceding, so we can start producing our own oil without the bullshit.

Mind you, all the pipefitters from the Occupied States of America are going to have a bitch of a time getting work visas to get across the wall that's going to get erected along the Red River.

8
DemsSuck 8 points ago +8 / -0

Here's an idea. Based manufacturers should change the "Made in USA" labels to "Made in Occupied USA".

11
Hombre_Trainee 11 points ago +11 / -0

I'd rather see "Made in Texas", Made in "South Dakota", Made in "North Dakota", etcetera labels so we spend our money to support conservative States/companies/communities/employees.

2

....and forced to suckle at the government teat. Probably what Pedo Joe had in mind.

11
spezisacuckold 11 points ago +11 / -0

Biden explicitly said he would outright end these peoples' jobs and they still unionized and voted for him.

Fucking morons. I hope it hurts a lot. Maybe that will finally change their minds. Severely doubt it.

3
ChippingToe 3 points ago +3 / -0

Only a few of them voted for Biden. The rest of the votes were faked!

8
NadlerShartWaddle 8 points ago +8 / -0

As a unionfag myself, I can say with 110% confidence that the average union worker is based as fuck. The leadership however is generally a bunch of socialist wannabe politicians.

4
Amaroq64 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup, our union is all Trump supporters, and then I got a card in the mail from the union and it was a campaign ad for Joe Biden.

Perfect representation of what's wrong with our country. The masses are based, but the shills are in all the positions of power.

2
PN_OShea [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then how do we fix that?

2
Amaroq64 2 points ago +2 / -0

My guess is: Good people need to start seeking the positions of power so it isn't only bad people doing it.

We don't want power, because we don't want to abuse it and we don't want the responsibility that comes with it. But maybe we should be pursuing power just to make sure it gets used the right way.

That goes with non-political power too, such as management positions on corporate ladders.

4
PN_OShea [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

You know, good unionfags can probably knock together a guillotine in under half an hour....

Just sayin.

6

4
Dev404 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't feel any sympathy towards the Biden voters who lost their jobs. Congratulations, in fact, you got what you voted for. 4 years of unemployment and heading towards bankruptcy is the least amount of punishment you deserve for creating this disaster for millions who didn't vote for that pedophile.

2
PN_OShea [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have a little.... if you never get redpilled, it's hard to see outside the MSM Propaganda. For some of these bluepilled normies, it's an unfortunate first step to realizing they've been manipulated and lied to.

It's a pity, then, that the level of cheating and fraud outstripped our efforts to get the truth out there.

Then again...if there was no hope, their propaganda wouldn't be necessary.

4
QanonIsMyDad 4 points ago +4 / -0

I know I’m not supposed to like this movie, but goddamn I like this movie

3
PN_OShea [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's no shame in liking a legitimately well made film.

Reminds them that they can set aside their politics when they try and actually make something of quality.

2
Amaroq64 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, I haven't seen it myself, but I heard it's a legitimately good movie.

The SJWs all hated it because white people aren't allowed to have mental health issues due to the society surrounding them being all fucked up.

4
PN_OShea [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Funny how that works out. For 90% of the stuff out there, if the critics hate it that's generally a good sign. If the MSM is praising it, it likely means it's propaganda or just more brain-draining drivel.

3
SigAR 3 points ago +3 / -0

They probably didnt vote Biden

5
PN_OShea [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

Strip away all the bullshit and NOBODY really voted Biden.

We were robbed of a legitimate Landslide.

...and I don't know about you, but I'm PISSED about it.

We CANNOT allow them to memory hole this.

I'm not "moving on", I'm not "getting over it", I'm not "Getting past it"

I'm not accepting it. I'm not playing your word games to give him legitimacy.

Unity, my ass.

RESISTANCE until I see his shriveled ass sitting behind a defendants table in a courtroom.

2
Amaroq64 2 points ago +2 / -0

I will never forgive, and I will never forget.

I will always remind them that Joe Biden is not the president.

3
PN_OShea [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Join arms with me, Pede. We'll make the loudest choir they've ever heard as we sing the truth.

3
PN_OShea [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not the President, and WE who remain will be here - shitposting, and memeing, and redpilling normies.... till the stench is overpowering enough to have the DATA JUDGED and that FRAUD REMOVED!

Trump/Flynn 2024

1
PN_OShea [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I dunno. I'd like Flynn to head up the DOJ myself.

Can we do Trump/Trump Jr. 2024?

They can do rally together and call it the .....Double Trump Stump!

(sorry, Dad joke. Couldn't help it).

But seriously. I would be STOKED to see Jr. in office

(Yes, I know you're on here someplace, Don Jr.)

2

You watch, those unions will still vote Dem in the future. Men don't think much when they get paid not to.

There are a large number of people that have a soul based connection to a political party. What do I mean by that? You are, at your core, a spirit. You have a soul (not the same thing) and you live in a body. The soul is your intellect, will, and emotions. Satan operates by manipulating people's souls, usually their emotions. Many people form a connection to a political party or movement based purely on that and will just completely ignore facts that contradict their allegiance.

My grandfather was a righteous man in nearly every way. Very much a conservative in his thinking and the way he lived. Yet he always voted Democrat because of his remembrance of FDR.

Union people vote democrat for these kinds of reasons. Minorities vote dem for these kinds of reasons. Very few people buy into the actual party platforms and most really don't want to vote but they're constantly told it's their duty so they trudge off to the polls and complain then vote based on feelings.

2
PN_OShea [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Adroit, very accurate analysis. I wish I could poke holes in it.

I don't LIKE it, but it's true.

This would be a far, far better country if we could convince people to THINK rather than FEEL before voting.

But alas, I'm afraid that went out the door with Civics classes.

Now? Now we're living in the first 10 minutes of "Idiocracy".

1
A_Little_White_Duck 1 point ago +1 / -0

I know a MI and OH family whose members are ardent hunters, pro gun, yet vote Dem because of strong UAW and another construction trade union affiliation. In 40 years they never deviated from the thug lifestyle..."busting heads", wrecking non-union construction sites, etc.

In these places, unionism trumps religion and race as far as allegiances go. Having been exposed to this mindset for way too long I hope they're first in line for repercussions. But they still vote Dem because, "my bread and butter is at stake". They are enemies of America.
