It is a cycle actually.

See the DIMs push for increase in the Min Wage (MW).

Most union contracts are done with the lowest paying job in the shop being some multiple of the MW and they go up from there.

This in turn generates more union dues, which pays the union bosses and allows them to live like fat cats.

The dues also are funneled to the DIMs in campaign contributions that line the pockets of the DIMs and gets them reelected.

The DIMs then fight to increase the MW. One big cycle.
