I had a thought (weird I know right?)... Has anyone ever taken known samples of other viruses from a containment lab like the common cold, influenza, or even bacterias that cause similar symptoms and run them through a COVID test in large enough numbers to be a sample group, or at the very least run large numbers of sterile fresh test tubes? Just curious.

I was wondering if the lockdowns have been the cure for the common cold. I don’t know anyone who has had one in the 10-11 months. Has it been eradicated?
