Yep, I'm a teacher and this is unfortunately what they want me to teach 11 year olds. I would never, even if they threatened to fire me. I love the grade that I teach because American History is the curriculum, and I get to teach my kids to respect the history of the United States
I work at a public school. I've never researched private schools. I've heard it varies. Some don't require you to have a credential, some might be more strict than public schools requirements.
