I am with Clarence Thomas on the question ultimately. If you have different standards, patronizing ones, most people will just assume you didn’t earn your degree. But I will say this: Black people have been screwed over and the Democrat union control of public schools endures and harms all students. Also, any policy that promotes or enables single mom/grandma raising of kids hoses them. Lastly, different cultures prize different things. Asian “tiger moms” of whatever ethnicity produce the geography bee champs, the math Olympiad teams, the classical violinist who dies eight other things. Less involved parents are ultra lucky if their kid proves good at sorts it computers.

There was a time in this country when getting pregnant outside wedlock was looked down upon. In fact, often a family would move away or try to hide the fact that a woman had become knocked up with no husband in sight. Sometimes the grandparents would "adopt" the child to save the reputation of their daughter.
