I pay for good quality insurance, so before I was only paying $20/vial ($60/month for 3 vials). A near 50% decrease in my monthly insulin costs was very welcome. Was hoping cheaper insulin would have opened the option for a cheaper premium too (it would have), saving diabetics even more money. Insulin used to be $400/vial without insurance, not sure what it is now but I know it has been lowered drastically.
Its was 3-4 hundred bucks a vial last may. That's what insurance, or Medicaid billed it as. In June because of what President Trump did it went to 30. Follow the money.

I pay for good quality insurance, so before I was only paying $20/vial ($60/month for 3 vials). A near 50% decrease in my monthly insulin costs was very welcome. Was hoping cheaper insulin would have opened the option for a cheaper premium too (it would have), saving diabetics even more money. Insulin used to be $400/vial without insurance, not sure what it is now but I know it has been lowered drastically.
Its was 3-4 hundred bucks a vial last may. That's what insurance, or Medicaid billed it as. In June because of what President Trump did it went to 30. Follow the money.

I had a friend with a diabetic cousin. The family wasn’t poor enough to qualify for welfare or Medicaid but their kid was severely allergic to peanuts. They were keeping epi pens up to two to three years past the expiration date and hoping the medicine would still work because they could not afford the medication the child needed. She said the mom cried in relief when the medication prices plummeted. I hope they are able to stockpile a few before this takes effect.
I had a roommate who was diabetic because she couldn't stop eating for 5 or 10 minutes, I think folks in her situation should have to pay a much higher price to help those that were simply born with the condition.
