Change my mind.

Uncle passed because of it. He was under 60 and living fine with diabetes. Yes, he was compromised, but it was manageable and he was normal for the most part. He and his wife got it. She survived. He didn't.

If he hadn't gotten COVID-19 he would likely still be here today.

Having said that, I believe the treatment (masks, lockdowns, work from home, school closures, rushed vaccine, emergency voting rules) has been worse than the disease.

I blame the Wuhan Institute of Virology for designing and releasing this virus, intentionally or not. I'm willing to change my mind on this if presented with evidence that proves otherwise.

I blame the American Medical Association for validating concerns about Hydroxychloroquine, a drug that has been considered safe for decades.

I blame Fauci and the FDA for choosing to recommend abnormally high cycle thresholds on a PCR test to detect COVID-19 in order to minimize false negatives without any regard to false positives. This is a decent strategy, but it was not communicated loudly and vastly enough.

I blame hospitals for falling for the incentive of marking every death of someone who tested positive within 30 days as a "died with COVID-19" stat.

I could go on. We got bamboozled, but the disease is real and lethal for those that are compromised. I'm sick of our pansy attitude of "better safe than sorry, even at any cost".
