If the Senate goes forward with impeachment they are setting a new precedent that past presidents can be impeached. What if somehow Trump wants the impeachment to move forward and has made a deal with traitors...err... i mean repubs saying they will not vote to impeach. Then he could run again in 2024 and have the ability to impeach Obama.

Probably not but not any crazier than reality these day either.
