Agreed. At the very least Twitter embedding should be disabled, if not replaced.
We need Gab and Parler embeds. And we need polling. etc.
Image/video posts in comments would be nice too.
This is something that Gab and Parler would have to implement on their end first. See my response about oEmbeds (http://ad2018stage.wpengine.com/intensive-hemodialysis/preparing-for-the-future/)
When you see embedded posts it's because of a technology (or more appropriately, a standard) called oEmbed (https://oembed.com). The service provider (in this case, Gab) must offer oEmbed. And then, clients (in this case Patriots.win) must whitelist the provider. It's much more challenging than that, but that's the gist.

The follow up would go to the mods asking if it's possible to embed gab posts, and if it is why we're not already.
I doubt that Gab has implemented oEmbed services on their end. It's not a simple thing to do. It can also be taxing on server resources. I would first check with Gab and see if it's something that can be added.
