While this situation is slightly different, Biden is doing exactly what Trump should've done on day one of his presidency--clean house and hire your own people. Clinton, Bush, and Obama did it. Biden is doing it. Trump had an administration full of Obama holdovers and he rewarded all of his enemies while letting his allies hang. The fact that Trump had as great of a term as he did is a testament to the efficacy of America first policies but what would today look like with real allies around him.
