I remember that and I also remember being yelled at by a couple of lefties I know when I said that emergency powers should never go beyond two weeks and the state legislators and state senate should decide on the course of action, not the governors and definitely not career bureaucrats.
I really don't understand how this emergency powers crap has been extended for so long. Did no legislator in any state think that this aspect of the law as written could be abused? Seems like there should be a hard time limit imposed no matter what the "emergency".
