Seems to specifically pertain to purchasing GPS tracking data which is commercially available thanks to Google and Apple.

Yay.

More reason to keep that shit off and use jailbreaking or rooted devices with custom OSs. Oh well.

Anyone who's using one of these infernal devices for any personal communication or activities, has only themselves to blame for what's done with their data. If you are forced to use one of these things for work, you should make sure it's only used for work, and is completely powered off (no "airplane mode") at all other times. These things are truly malignant.
