Also people have trouble to realize that we’re all deeply flawed and have weird obsessions and some degree of inclination to perversion. The only thing that prevents most of us from giving it a free reign is financial limitation.
We rationalize ourselves into thinking we’re better than them, but in most cases it’s simply by lack of opportunity. People are weird. Give them a billion dollars and they will express their weirdness in ways we can’t imagine.

Never said that. Some people are definitely purer/stronger than others.
But two things are at play.
First, the average level of genuine purity is extremely low. Among 20 of your male friends/relatives, I guarantee at least 2 or 3 of them would happily rub a 5 years old girl if given the opportunity, the right context (v. important) and the certainty of never being discovered.
Second, the system has a natural tendency to move the more perverse persons to the top, because they’re more controllable.
