I am trying so hard to let go of prime. It has been my most difficult break up to date.
The next step for me is getting rid of my iPhone. These are necessary sacrifices we must make. Amazon thinks you’re a piece of shit Nazi, so why are you paying them? Almost every item on Amazon can be purchased directly from the seller (they usually have their own websites). That way the seller makes more money on your purchase since they don’t have to pay the Amazon listing markup.
I’m with you. Ditched Facebook in 2011, but it took me until last week to delete Amazon. I’m typing this on a new iPhone, and while it’s nice, I have been peeking at a Pixel running grapheneOS instead. Wish I had found out about graphene earlier
Pixel is owned by Google though. Unfortunately as it stands right now there are no good cell phone companies 😭. Tbh I love the iPhone but can’t stand Apple.
Yeah, you’re right. But it supports a degoogled graphene, plus buying used from an American is the next best thing. Until gab phone is tenable (but that’s android, too)

I know!! That's why I said I am having a very hard time. My husband even gave me some pointers on why it was ok. Like my mom has it and wont stop so I can just use hers if I really want something. That $10.00 a month will look better in my pocket than Bezos' that's for sure. Can't wait to need a new phone and buy a non iphone
I am backing up my Facebook data now and confirming it, then deleting. Switched to Brave from Chrome, using Qwant for searches. I actually like Brave better. Our Android phones and Amazon are going be to be the hardest ones.
I also ditched safari for DuckDuckGo. There are alternatives out there. It is our duty as freedom loving Americans to stand up to tyranny. I am encouraging everyone I know to follow suit. Let’s bring these tyrants down together!

I’m not slow. I used these platforms to communicate with my friends and family that no longer live in the states. Amazon was strictly for convenience. They were necessary evils in my mind, however I have finally pulled the plug.
No offense, but that's the same shit I hear from everyone who stays on those 'necessary" things that were never necessary to stay in touch for the last 2 thousand years. Just like buying cheaper shit from China.
I am proud though, it isn't easy telling your family why because it indirectly insults them. I went rhough it a while ago. Hopefully more and more people will get it.
I think there is also a psychological aspect to it. When you’re just one person, you don’t feel like leaving these platforms will have any tangible effect. Now that patriots are leaving in droves it has instilled a sense of confidence that this is a legitimate way to fight back.

I’m really torn on deleting some of my social media accounts only because I like using troll accounts on FB, Insta, and Twitter to at least somewhat balance the narrative and call out Liberal BS. If we abandon all of those places, they will become Liberal echo chambers with absolutely no dissent...which is what they want. There is nothing Liberals and politicians hate more than ridicule and public shaming. It doesn’t do any good ridiculing them here where they most likely won’t see it.
They already are liberal echo chambers. Conservatives are being purged en masse from these platforms and every time you visit their sites, you’re making them money. Once Parler is back up and running I will use them, but otherwise I think it’s best for us to ditch all social media. If all 80+ million of us do this in unison it might just send a message to these tyrants.

I deleted Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and my Amazon membership is ending soon. I also switched to protonmail for everything except junk mail, switched to the Brave browser, using qwant search engine, installed a VPN on all my devices, and am using signal for text and calls. I suggest everybody get serious about privacy considering we're going full Communist soon.
