People are too soft to consider it, but Texas needs to be reclaimed the way it was originally won.

For those not in the know:

Spain signed agreements with colonizers from the United States, bordering the province to the northeast ever since their Louisiana Purchase from the Emperor Napoleon I and his French Empire (France) in 1803. When Mexico won its independence from Spain in 1821, Mexican Texas was part of the new nation. To encourage settlement, Mexican authorities allowed organized immigration from the United States, and by 1834, over 30,000 Anglos lived in Texas, compared to 7,800 Mexicans.

After Santa Anna's dissolution of the Constitution of 1824 and his political shift to the right, issues such as lack of access to courts, the militarization of the region's government (e.g., response to Saltillo-Monclova problem), and self-defense issues resulting in the confrontation in Gonzales, public sentiment in Mexican and Anglo Texans turned towards revolution. Santa Anna's invasion of the territory after putting down the rebellion in Zacatecas provoked the conflict of 1836. The Texian forces fought and won the Texas Revolution in 1835–1836.

Although not recognized as such by Mexico, Texas declared itself an independent nation, the Republic of Texas. Attracted by the rich lands for cotton plantations and ranching, tens of thousands of immigrants arrived from the U.S. and from Germany as well. In 1845, Texas joined the United States, becoming the 28th state, when the United States annexed it. Only after the conclusion of the Mexican–American War, with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, did Mexico recognize Texan independence. Texas declared its secession from the United States in 1861 to join the Confederate States of America. Only a few battles of the American Civil War were fought in Texas; most Texas regiments served in the east. When the war ended, the enslaved African Americans were freed. Texas was subject to Reconstruction, a process that left a residue of bitterness among whites. They regained political dominance and passed laws in the late 19th century creating second-class status for blacks in a Jim Crow system of segregation and disenfranchising them in 1901 through passage of a poll tax. Blacks were excluded from the formal political system until after passage of federal civil rights legislation in the mid-1960s.

They didnt let them in to settle the land for goodwill really, they used the Anglos as a barrier so the Comanches had to kill them before they got to their lands

Today I learned that Mexico built a human wall out of White people

4
dukeofdoorcounty 4 points ago +5 / -1

Well, the Nueces river was the old border. I wouldn't be offended if we gave that area back to Mexico. We;d lose a few grapefruit and some ranch land, but in the end a plus.

11
Beaner78 11 points ago +11 / -0

Hell no, I live south of that area, give nothing back to Mexico.

1

"Based Beaners"! Hahahahahaha Anyway, I get what some people are saying based on the craptacular dumpster fire that California has turned into. But seriously, some of these comments are just ignorant of what is actually happening in South Texas. I work with a large number of dudes from "The Valley" and I would say probably 75% are big "America First" types. The same with the Vietnamese I work with. Could it be specific to the industry I work in? Possibly. But 41% of Hispanics in Texas voted for Trump. To be honest, the biggest threat to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are woke, White, American Millennials.

2
Beaner78 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's all the Red Pilling that has happened, the legal citizens hate the invasion from south america. There a lot of Dems here that are OG from the JFK days and hate socialism. They know what will happen if things keep going the same way. Also tons of gun owners / hunters / border patrol. Homicides are very rare here, everyone is pretty chill, we just want to bbq, drink beer, shoot our guns, eat our wonderful tacos and be left the hell alone. God bless Texas, God Bless the republic, Jesus is King!

I'm in NYC, a bunch of liberal lunatics I know have been moving to Texas because they can't afford it here, rest assured they're bringing their blue votes with them to fuck up your state too.

30
1PhantomStranger 30 points ago +30 / -0

Liberalism is parasite on this country. They fuck up one place, then go to a red state where it is obviously better due to red policies being superior, and then bring their BS blue mentality to ruin that state, all while completely oblivious that their own retarded liberal mentality proliferating is why they had to move in the first place!

12
PROBE 12 points ago +12 / -0

Progressivism. If we're ever gonna make headway in this country fighting back against the subversion of the Socialists, we need to properly identify who it is we're struggling against. Progressives and Socialists. Ever since they shamed everyone into not calling a Commie a Commie, people have been unable to properly identify the ideologies that are sowing the seeds of their destruction while also becoming divided from their fellow patriots.

A Liberal is not a Progressive, and a Progressive is not a Liberal. If someone says they're a Liberal, ask them if Socialism is the answer to any problem. If they start saying yes, they're a Progressive, not a Liberal. Same goes for if they believe in Intersectional racial or gender nonsense.

Liberalism is an individualistic anti-authoritarian philosophy with a co-operative bend to it. Conservatism is an individualistic anti-authoritarian philosophy with a competitive bend to it. They are brothers.

Progressivism is collectivist authoritarianism that pretends it's not. It's the infiltration ideology of Socialism. It needs to always be identified for what it is, and stamped out vigorously before its poison takes hold.

6
AerialRush 6 points ago +6 / -0

Agreed, even here, people call these things liberal fascism. When it's straight up Marxism and Communism rising.

3
Maccherokee 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ever ask a self identified progressive what it is they mean to progress toward? Every time I have, I was met with that special kind of blank stare.

2
PROBE 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh, all if the time. Their reaction always draws out my most smug inner smirk as I explain the history of Progressivism to them as they never actually know a damn thing.

Longtime Austin resident here. I’ve found the best way to reach some (definitely not “all”) is to take them out shooting. Takes about 6-12 months before they catch the bug to have their own guns, then the rest is just watching them take the red pill.

4
MrBlack 4 points ago +4 / -0

My grandfather having firearms in the house is what initially lead me to be a Republican, but living in NYC those rights were stolen long ago. I barely get out shooting nowadays.

5
CahalTheMad 5 points ago +6 / -1

It's crazy how lefturds know their moronic ideology destroys lives and adversely affects them as well. Yet, they run away from their willfully created mess only to do it all over again somewhere else. Eventually, they'll run out of places to flee to and then what?

5
PROBE 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've noticed that almost all Leftist have some sort of vicious personality trait, even if it's simply selfishness to the point of meanness. They don't really care about other people beyond what the other people can provide for them, willingly or not.

4
Nancypelosisoldliver 4 points ago +4 / -0

if we could Redhpill the Albuquerque area and even work on the rural areas, nm would flip red forever without dominion and blm ballot staffers. If we do it right we can start from Texas and grow out from all sides. We will just have our own Supreme Court, our own police who read the constitution. Eventually it will be clear to anyone outside the heart of the USA what the right way is. Just like the "its okay to be white" we need "its okay to take your mask off"

5
YaBoiJacob 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well every state directly north or Texas is red, so if we wanted to we could split the country in 2 pieces

2
BillionsAndBillions 2 points ago +2 / -0

And most counties are solid red. Isolate the communist cities and let them make their own way.

The question is will they accept fellow Patriots from other states.

America1776 10 points ago +10 / -0

Texas IS a sovereign State in the same sense that England or France is sovereign. The States are ALL sovereign. Sovereign States formed a union and delegated powers to the Federal government. But very limited powers. The Federal government’s delegated powers are “few and defined”. Conversely, the States powers are “numerous and indefinite”. Federal government was delegated power to be exercised principally on external objects, such as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce. We’ve got things WAY upside down in America.

I live in Tarrant which is to the west of Dallas. Fort Worth voters tend to be 50/50, but almost all of the suburbs in Tarrant are conservative.
I would be ok living in town in Ft Worth. Just don't live in Dallas or Houston.

The DFW area is about the same size as the entire state of Pennsylvania for reference.

1
PraiseBeToScience 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah I keep seeing people talking about how our new country is going to have all these issues... like, people don't understand that you can literally do whatever you want if you have the guns and the willpower.

Literally just go through records, and throw anyone who fails your purity test out of the country. Seize their shit and send them packing. All the fucking vile liberals in Austin can be sent to camps if you have nowhere else to send them. All the Mexicans - even current "citizens" - along the border? Go through voter registrations, and shred their documents and de-person them. Give them a bus ticket out of town.

There's no actual overarching law saying you can't do any of this shit once you've decided to make your own country. Let filthy mud-people immigrants in only if they can read and write English at a collegiate level. Tax remittances at 90%. Lay a literal fucking minefield along the entire border.

8
bluedevilga 8 points ago +8 / -0

If texas is independent, the will just build a buss terminal at either end and transfer all of the fence hoppers.

4
FlyinHeadlock 4 points ago +4 / -0

No. we must go with MAGA gear and register them to vote. I posted about this earlier. Make their old school bus backfire on the world. MAGA? Registering illegal aliens? Oh, the outrage? This is wrong!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEE>

3
Taco_Tim 3 points ago +3 / -0

You guys are wrong. I have friends and family from Southern Texas. A lot of Hispanics. They're not as liberal as you think they are. They really hate degenerate LGBT culture. And there are tons of USA and Texas flags down there. They even hate North Texans because they come down there for the summer lol.

All it would take to get Texas even more red is a candidate to go down there. No Republicans ever campaign in the south and far west of the state.

2
PraiseBeToScience 2 points ago +2 / -0

So who is turning all those counties blue if it's not the fucking Mexicans?

1
Taco_Tim 1 point ago +1 / -0

Did you forget the fact that it's mostly Hispanic down there and there are hundreds of thousands of people who are Hispanic that voted for Trump? The reason why those counties are blue, is due to the lack of Republican candidates. Time and investment. Remember. Trump flipped multiple Hispanic majority counties in South Texas.

The potential for South Texas to become Republican dominated is quite high. The biggest issue will be healthcare, jobs and water issues.

3
MAGADutchPEDE 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hank Hill lives in the south doesn't he? (Most of what I know about Texas comes from koth 😬)

3

You can have snow OR forests, you can't have both, sorry. Panhandle gets snow and the occasional white out blizzard but trees are sparce. East TX has trees, but snow is a unicorn.

Illegal immigration is killing us as you can see all the border towns are blue. Also, Austin is full blown commie.

2
Shityposter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Since no other state has a standing in how Texas runs their elections and they need not be fair for all anymore then surely it's incumbent on Texas to secure their elections in the future which means rules need to be changed and legislators not needed. I heard there's much fraud in Austin and some other cities so maybe there needs to be a removal of all mail-in voting there and a single polling station to cover the whole city with extra security checks (can't help that it'll take 8+ hours to queue) to make sure they are secure

2

The southern border? I'm pretty sure you all know why the southern border has our great state of Texas almost completely blue.

1
PraiseBeToScience 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well good news is once you're making your own country, you can deport anyone you want for any reason you want.

You know what? I legit think we should bring back slavery, except we only enslave people who have expressed any support for any leftist ideologies or voted accordingly. Obviously they think people should work "according to their ability" and only get paid "according to their need". Here's your pickaxe, the uranium mine is that way. You get a government one-room cabin and government cheese. Mine to your ability and we'll give you the cheese you need.

Enjoy your fucking socialist utopia, subhuman.

US cities all over the nation have told the federal government to fuck off with sanctuary city status. Why the hell can't Texas tell the feds to fuck off, build their own wall and start their own deportations? Let the feds bitch, complain and sue but Texas should just do it anyway. If the feds decide to use force then there you have Texas forced into secession 👌
