He isn't "my boy" I'm just using him (one of many murdered rappers) as an example. The people who killed him had no personal beef with him at all, they were just worthless human beings.
Whatever crimes he committed are irrelevant to his murder, he was just the first example I thought of. Nipsey Hussle was a hero to his community and he got shot point blank by an envious 80 IQ pos from his neighborhood.
Honestly every famous person should carry. John Lennon and Sharon Tate are other good examples. People are fucking crazy, and the more people that know who you are the greater your risk of running into a crazy.
