Patriots.win is great name but it is very similar to certain well known team. Usually that might not be a problem, but just for the sake of shutting this down they can sue or threaten to sue, since we don't have big legal budget, we won't have any way to fight them. Hope mods have thought of that.

No, they can't.
Trademarks need to specify a 'class' e.g. "Sporting teams" or apparel. There is no possibility of brand confusion, over and above which "Patriots" is a dictionary word which makes trademark protection even more restrictive to prevent overuse.
