Will trying to impeach Trump be the kiss of death for the Republicans and are they that out of touch with the American public? Are the liberals still thirsting for blood and doesn't look pretty petty and vindictive?

I know the point of this impeachment hearing is to remove Trump from being able to run again in 2024 but won't this open up a whole new can of worms for the Democrats? Won't Trump's lawyers get to reveal evidence to the public?

Impeach has different rules. Think of a home owners association bitching about the hue of the paint.
