I am not American but a big Orange man supporter. I fcuking hate the way everything is described by way of colour in your media. All I see here is a fcuking brave Man who did way more than most of us will ever achieve. Respect Dude.

Fcuk all cunts who try to label us

Likewise, based Aussie pede here.

But in this guys case, I would say his colour is important to the story. Guy was legitimately held back his entire life due to his race, fighting in a war to free his brethren. And still had the integrity, gall and strength to throw his life behind the symbol of ultimate freedom.

Love it.

This Man, nay, this Beast William, would be so heart broken over today's black communities in America. this is the history i was lucky enough to study, and im only 24, my teachers were smarter than the school curriculum, and i have been blessed to know them.

Sad but true. Much respect to this Dude. Dudes and Dudettes like this are what carry the rest of us forward and give us a better future. It is sh1t they have to do this while still being labelled to express the narrow minded views of others, mostly lefties.

That’s because he started a movement greater than any one country. It’s a message that resonates with people all over the globe who don’t have freedom. It is a privileged thought to think that the idealism America is founded is nothing more than fetishization. The powerful don’t know what feeling powerless is like, so they have no qualms when rights arestripped away..... They can just use their Starbucks reward cards they have in excess to buy it back.

If only they’d teach American black history in school instead of communist black history.....

God bless him. What a brave man from the once great Republican party.

Genuinely should teach actual black heroes, like this man, Fredrick Douglas, Aunt Jemima(The one who escaped slavery, went to Canada, learned how to make maple syrup, and came back to make an unbelievable fortune.) not "Guy who developed slightly better bulb filament."

He fought in the battle for that Confederate fort depicted in the movie Glory.

The Fort was called Battery Wagner on Morris Island, S.C. I had friends on the adjacent James Island, S.C. who took me out to Morris Island a couple of times so I could walk it from one end to the other. The area where Wagner stood is under water now. Battery Gregg was at the north end of Morris Island at Cummings Point. At the southern end of Morris Island was the lighthouse, and Lighthouse Inlet, which the 54th crossed over from Folly Island to attack Battery Wagner. At the north end of Folly was Fort Greene. The Union Forces had their headquarters at the southern end of Folly. I spent a lot of time visiting friends on James Island back in the late 90's, and onwards. They were involved in preserving the various Civil War sites in the area. I was fortunate enough to have walked the ground where the 54th and 55th Massachusetts camped, fought and died. Those are times I will never forget.

Black or not, holy fuck. Those bullets of that time were absolute body destroyers. Taking even one was usually a lost limb. What was this guy made out? Pure Patriotism?

the american flag represents the 50 states the 13 stripes for the original 13 colonies. with white signifying purity and innocence; red, hardiness and valor; and blue signifying vigilance, perseverance and justice.

really the flag is not ment to represent the government. the government doesnt get represented. infact i think that's why DC is not its own state.

Well, America’s Founding Fathers decided, when they wrote the Constitution, that it was imperative that the center of government was not in a state. In America’s early post-Revolution days, it would see several different temporary centers of government, all of them northern cities like Philadelphia and New York. While drafting the Constitution in 1787, the Founding Fathers decided that the new nation should have a permanent capital. But they were reluctant to give that much power to one single state.

So they wrote in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution that “[The Congress shall have Power] To exercise exclusive Legislation…over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may…become the Seat of the Government of the United States.” The article also stated that this 100-mile district would come from land ceded by the states so that the new seat of government would be independent of any state. in short, statehood for D.C. would directly contradict the Constitution. https://www.rd.com/article/washington-dc-not-state/

this bullcrap incoming :/

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told “Just the News” on Friday that the Democratic-led Senate and House will vote in favor of statehood for the District of Columbia and send the bill to President Joe Biden’s desk, who has expressed support for D.C. statehood in the past.
