Official phone of commie faggots.

According to market share it’s twice as likely to be a Samsung.

Both are gabage

iPhones are great products. They are so great that you can keep your model for 7 years. Just imagine: instead of upgrading every 2 years, upgrade every 7 years with the budget model. Sales will PLUMMET if you just hold onto your current phone as long as possible.

1
Anus_Blenders_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've had 8 phones in 6 years though and they all ended up with issues. Their laptops used to be great until they moved away from the unibody construction and made it so you couldn't swap out even more of the internals

Not even sure if you can upgrade the ram or replace the batteries in the new stuff without being "apple certified" unless you're tech savvy and don't mind voiding the warranty

1
Teapede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well until they update your phone into being so poor you get too annoyed to stick with it

2
GastonP1000 2 points ago +2 / -0

Here's the kicker: Jailbreak it. I guarantee you, the updates are not "updates" they are downgrades. Keep your phone on the same version and it will never have problems.

Apple phones are awful for privacy anyway - even worse than a typical Android.

6
President_Elect_Pepe 6 points ago +6 / -0

I'm pretty sure if you set up an iPhone the right way without signing in its pretty much your best privacy option still.

Unless youre installing some sort of custom android version.

6
DangleBarry 6 points ago +6 / -0

De-googled Android, or a Linux phone are definitely better options. I run my own build of LineageOS with no Gapps.

4
RiffFantastic 4 points ago +4 / -0

Linux phones? Do they exist?

3
Frog_Prince 3 points ago +4 / -1

Close!

Two options close to market, I think wave 2 is going to be great. First ones definitely for early adopters.

Check out the Pine Phone and Librem 5. I’m comfortable with Linux, will probably pick one of them up just to support the movement.

2
RiffFantastic 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn’t realize this was happening. Will be great to have a more diverse phone market without the oppressive restrictions of Apple or Google.

3
President_Elect_Pepe 3 points ago +3 / -0

Those are definitely fair options.

2
Anus_Blenders_ 2 points ago +2 / -0

How you liking Lineage? I'm considering the swap myself. That or Graphene. I'm no coder but I'm mega impressed with the world of Linux and I'm constantly reading

1
geebeext 1 point ago +2 / -1

What do you use for maps/navigation

1
DangleBarry 1 point ago +1 / -0

OsmAnd+

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.osmand.plus/

Open source app. Works great, and you can download maps to your device so you never give away your position.

1
geebeext 1 point ago +2 / -1

Oh wow I tried it like 6 years ago and forgot about it.

Will spin up again thanks!

2
DissemblingBug 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is true. I read the privacy policies n have written manny for my job. Apple protects data slightly better than Google — n Google is aggressively evil. Like CNN of tech companies.

3
Range4harry [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Please expand on that

13
DangleBarry 13 points ago +13 / -0

All your activity is associated with your apple ID, and they track you continuously via WiFi scanning - there's no way to turn that "feature" off.

Plus, iOS is completely closed source so there's no way to tell whether or not it's doing even worse stuff.

7
ncsuengineer256 7 points ago +7 / -0

^this. Besides the obvious benefit of open source software normally being free, you can look at what the software is actually doing. As an engineer, I resist black boxes as much as I can. Run Linux!

6
N7fury 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's interesting. I have a Samsung S20 plus but always hear iPhone owners talk about how secure and private iPhones are lol

1
Anus_Blenders_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

They're clueless. They might have some end to end encryption but Apple always has a backdoor in and a stickynote from a 3 letter agency for made up reasons would get them to and everything over

I'm convinced G Board is a keylogger so I've got no clue how bad iOS is going to be

6
Barbs 6 points ago +6 / -0

Uh, I’m skeptical of the assertion that Apple is less secure about privacy than Android. Because with Apple you’re still a customer buying a product. With Google and Android, you are the product.

Sure, there’s privacy concerns as there are with any constantly-connected service that you carry with you everywhere, but this whole “Apple is always bad” bullshit is just bullshit.

They get a bunch of shit for having their stuff made at FoxConn, but like 90% of electronics brands also have their products made there, yet there’s never a peep about them.

Where have I seen this hypocrisy before? It’s a real mystery...

1
President_Elect_Pepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can set up an iphone without using your apple id, they just make that option difficult to locate.

1
Kaligon 1 point ago +1 / -0

You mean when they ask you to sign in with an Apple ID you hit the box in the corner that says "Set up without Apple ID." It really doesn't seem that difficult.

1
President_Elect_Pepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

I believe the newest version you first have to hit “I don’t have an Apple ID” then on that screen you have to hit “I wish to do this later” or something similar.

Compared to most of the setup options it’s definitely obscure.

1
DissemblingBug 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also you can create a burner for your Apple ID and load a gift card for the credit card for in purchases.

5
mikejones 5 points ago +5 / -0

Apple makes all their stuff so who knows what back doors are there that we'll never know.

7
JoinTheDiscussion 7 points ago +7 / -0

Never owned an apple product.. They've ALWAYS been a shit company.. FUCK them!!!

Satan?

5
AnointedVisions 5 points ago +6 / -1

It's a shame. I really liked their macbooks for audio production, but I dislike their globalist politics more

2
Anus_Blenders_ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fantastic for audio, also got me used to command line stuff for Linux given it's a Unix distribution

I've got one of those "PCMasterRace" dork friends who looks amazed that I can throw something in Wine and get it working just fine out of the box while he has to download all those patches that are designed to slow his system down and do little else

5
Fuckthecommieleft 5 points ago +5 / -0

No, dont fuck with my stocks! Jk got like a hundred bucks in there. Fuck apple. written from iphone

I'm mentally ready to embrace a live without all this technocrat bullshit. These companies all are to big to fail and need to be broken up, there is no way for anyone to compete.

4
Gnometard 4 points ago +4 / -0

Even before SocJus, apple was always seen (at least by me and many others) as that of the hipster low T types.

Not sure who's buying it that's not already a cuck.

1
DissemblingBug 1 point ago +1 / -0

Professionals. Law business medicine. Not saying that’s good but there are plenty of us who bed smart phones and will for the remainder of our careers. iPhone is lesser tech but slightly better privacy imo

4
hackthefortress 4 points ago +4 / -0

I was on my way to getting a brand new Apple Macbook Pro and iPhone this year.

I think I will get myself a Windows device, parition and Hackintosh it... as for a phone... I have no idea, not a huge fan of Android.

Any suggestions?

4
Idontknohow2meme 4 points ago +4 / -0

My wallet easily boycotts apple. I don't think I've ever owned one and I highly doubt I ever will.

How about Samsung?

Anything not iOS relies on Android though...

1
Anus_Blenders_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

XDA Dev forums mentions a ton of flagship killer options for way less. Samsung is garbage

1
glow-operator-2-0 1 point ago +1 / -0

🤔 Cool, thanks for the tip

3
Amym823 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'd help but Apple is for sweater vest wearing soy latte drinking people that drive a prius... never owned one.

3
PropagandaWizard1984 3 points ago +3 / -0

Another reason to not buy Apple products, Al Gore owns tons of Apple stock from his time on the board of directors.

3
MrVegan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Those stimulus checks go straight to apple and amazon

3
Range4harry [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Amazon is far more diversified than Apple. Also harder to boycott their cheaper essential product retail business. I don’t like them both but Apple is absolutely a low hanging fruit not to mention it’d be a giant message impossible to ignore if they gone down due to patriots

3
FastnFurious 3 points ago +3 / -0

They’re the most immune. They have huge product diversity and a monopoly on their use. They’re also sitting on a huge pile of cash.

Start with Twitter

5
Range4harry [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

No. Low iPhone sales and they’re done basically overnight. Take away iPhone and their stock will go back to $7

2
President_Elect_Pepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nah, I think they are at like 30 to 40 percent from services now.

4
Range4harry [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Those services will go down to 3% without iPhones

2
President_Elect_Pepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

I want to agree with you but they would have an installed userbase lasting 4-6 years so an immediate impact would be difficult.

I think android is more dangerous but less easy to target.

I don't know that Apple didn't end up cooperating with the FBI on the terrorist phone but they at least publicly put up a fight.

4
Range4harry [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Apple requires to meet hardware sales on each quarter. Most of their services depend on those hardware sales. Miss a quarter unexpectedly and it snow balls from there

1
FastnFurious 1 point ago +1 / -0

They can support their stock price with their $200B in cash

3
Voltage 3 points ago +3 / -0

Need a new phone and was going to buy something soon but after hearing of gab phone I'll be waiting for it's launch.

2
President_Elect_Pepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm pretty sure they quietly make a ton off of services now.

Mostly the app store now I assume.

2
Pepelepew123 2 points ago +2 / -0

What about a Mac Mini?

2
Honir 2 points ago +2 / -0

Gates and Google are much more dangerous. Apple can be easily taken over. I would say we buy all the stock and make it our own!

2
Chilen 2 points ago +2 / -0

You mean there wasn't an Apple boycott already?

My wife set up a bank account and got a free ipad. I made her give it away for free because I didn't want it in my house.

I don't even allow my sons friends to use my wifi if they have apple crap.

The neighbor across the street named his 2 wifi networks 'Pete's Guest Network" and "Pete's Apple Network" so I named my wifi "Pete's Gay Porn Network".

2
mikejones 2 points ago +2 / -0

The trade in shit is cancer. Apple will buy old phones so you get new tech for cheap.

2
Kaligon 2 points ago +2 / -0

I feel like you have two serious choices for a phone: Android OS or iOS. I recall reading that Android has at least 3 known 'backdoors' for remote access and Apple still has zero. In addition, Apple doesn't send data back to the server unless it tells you it's going to per various people who have done extensive testing. Apple will send data back only if you have the options allowed, such as "help improve maps" and "Help improve siri" and "Send crash data back to app developers." The guy doing the testing was quite extensive, driving around and walking around town with phones in airplane mode with all tracking features disabled and then connecting to a wifi network he controlled and watching what traffic went out. TLDR the iPhone didn't 'phone home' but the Android phone started tryin to get data to the Google servers including trip duration, method of travel (based on accelerometer) and wifi network data collected even while in Airplane.

Meanwhile, iOS sent back no data at all. 0 bytes. Furthermore, Apple claims all over it's website that it's still secure.

They're both known evil companies with bad practices, but Google seems worse. I see Apple as the lesser of two evils style choice. I also recognize that in the long run it doesn't much matter, they're both probably tracking you in various ways.

1
Range4harry [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

All I’m saying is don’t buy a new phone. Hold on to your current phone for 3 more years and Apple will be the neck Nokia. The market and whoever else wants to to take over Apple’s depletes mobile business will be very aware as to why this happened. Why? $ize matters. We have to power to destroy 2 trillion worth of commie managed $$. A big message

1
DissemblingBug 1 point ago +1 / -0

What’s the alternative? Honestly we have ranks literally filled with professionals. I moved away from an Android to an Apple (despite a decrease in performance and tech) bc Google is so evil in customer exploration. Can anyone recommend a comparable “patriot” device?

1
Range4harry [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are many more things that we need to curtail. Someone needs to assemble a list of everything we shouldn't be supporting.

I just want my GabPhone and I don't give a fuck, I'll pay an idiotic Apple price for it.
