You can split the military into two camps their natural line... enlisted and officers. Of the officers O5 and down to a butter bar O1 you have a mixed bag politically. O6 and up are purely political creatures that only wear a uniform. The higher they go the more political they are. It's always a lead lag issue. Lots of Obama officers in there at the moment. If Trump had made it 4 more years then who followed would have a Trump picked leadership. The enlisted will not stand up till they are given unconcionable orders which hasn't happened.....yet.
Is it even possible for the military to step in and stop this shit? The president is exposing their infrastructure aswell as the countries infrastructure and gridlines everything their sworn to protect biden is exposing to the enemy so why can't the military stop this
Even under a receptive leadership the military would be hard pressed to intervene. While you are mixing with civil affairs our enemies are moving to take advantage of that chaos. We have almost 2 million service members across the forces. Of that ther are about 250 thousand combat arms troops. For every man we put on the battle field it takes 10 in the rear to support that one man. So put yourself in their shoes. You have 250 thousand troops to manuver... you not only have to sequester the got but you will have to deal with a civil backlash. So you will have to provide security for vulnerable parts of the US infrastructure. Some wake group gets the idea they wanna hit a nuclear facility for whatever reason. If we had to scram even one reactor to prevent a meltdown our energy grid would be screwed because we don't have the excess capacity to spare and God for it it causes a cascade shutdown of the grid because we may not have enough energy to restart it. (It gets in the weeds but intresting to learn about) Then there are places like the facility in TX that at any point in time holds 100s of nuke warheads for maintenance, upgrade, or Dx. While probably as secure as the White House in a fill on civil conflict it would be vulnerable to 🤪 peeps. You have other facilities like bio research, weapon and ordinance depots, etc.... that all now have to have substantial active forces guarding them. If that isn't enough you still have to protect borders and coast line from the ones that would try to take advantage of the situation by smuggling arms and wmds to out right invasion. Lastly because the US armed forces are mixed in their personal politics there would be disention in the ranks from a move like this... even if it was just 10% it could cause massive disruption of the military machine. All this was gamed out when we became a nuclear power and it was decided that the military should stay out of any civil conflict and focus on defense and infrastructure protection because no matter who won the civil conflict they would need a functioning military and infrastructure to defend the nation after. Now the military could still be used to stop small scale insurrection but never would be the cause of one and never so involved they loose that first objective. There will be some quiet resistance but beyond that most secrets are already known. They know Xiden is a security risk so they will feed him half trouths with spoilers with expectation it will leak...counter intelligence and such. Usually anything what screws them over is being forced to do some project that allows a foreign entity to scre with their tools... to them that is their biggest threat they have to deal with from the Civil side.... well that and being told to go fight somewhere with no clear reason or strategy. I promise you they are doing all they can to protect us, but the administration is our problem and we gotta stop expecting someone else to save us. Start locally, find or form a group of like minded people and grow it.
