If Trump establishes a Patriot Party, I think that would create huge momentum. But if us conservatives are forced to choose between a democrat and a GOP republican, a lot of us are gonna not vote. That's my hill to die on. I'd rather see a Dem get every seat rather than a mcconel, mccarthy, or Graham. Or about 95% of Republicans. At least the Dems won't lie to you.
I think the problem is that if the "threat" that Trump running for president is gone, no one will fear him or what he could do. That's why impeachment is still floating above him, he has to wait that out before he starts making new moves.
I think taking over the party and gutting it, and emplacing ideological benchmarks and demanding compliance are what are needed.
A totally new political party must have local strength first, then statewide before it can be effective at the national level. Easier to have a MAGA takeover of the GOP than to create an new, and competing brand. It's why brands and companies are bought up. It is easier because the brand is already known. MAGA GOP would be the new and improved version.
I almost want to suggest that Trump does NOT run for President again.
