Sioux Falls is great! South Dakota is very underrated, which is a good thing. Lots to see and do if you know how to have fun. We love visiting SD! Enjoy.
I was born and raised in Ohio and the left for military at 18 moving every 2-3yrs for 20yrs (husband is retired vet).
I appreciate Sioux Falls for its small town feel; kids still go outside to play until late into the dark, neighbors talk and know one another, can find like minded people if you try. Its fairly safe depending on what part of town you are in. Unfortunately with the city growing, so is the crime in some parts of town.
On other hand, has been hard for me to make friends due to the cliquiness of majority of people grew up here and never moved anywhere. I dont drink either and am a SAHM to teenager so it hasn't helped.
The schools here dont provide as much interaction between parents providing opportunities to get to know one another like other places I have lived (we had to go in and sign kid out of school in a few previous places so parents eventually started chatting up one another).
The retail options are ok, but hoping to see more local businesses open who offer things that dont look & feel like what other stores are already offering.
What part? I am in Sioux Falls.
Welcome to South Dakota!
You will be fine here. Its a great place to live.
I could give ya some job listing to look at but now have the "failed accounting student" as a requirement lol
Honestly, in a great jobs market you should look for work where you actually make something instead of counting beans.
Manufacturing, even small fabrication, will be always be more rewarding than sitting in a cubicle counting someone else's money.
SD is a great place to start anew.
Well, what have you been doing for work now? Have a criminal record? Can show up to work on time, consistently, and pass a drug test?
Businesses always need a front desk person who can balance their books. That puts in account management and management track pretty easily.

I live in the Black Hills. Truly great people!
HMU, I'm putting together a SuFu group to keep counteract all the lefty dummies
On what platform are you starting a group? Just out of interest as in not from there and won't be joining of course
Signal.
You're welcome to join, though idk how to get you my cell number without posting it on a forum
I guess there are DMs on here had no idea. Shoot me a DM and I'll get you in
Thanks, I looked at signal before but when you join a group everyone can see your phone number so it's not anonymous in that regard.
Telegram feels better to me, loads of channels and existing group chats where you can go by a username instead of everyone seeing your number
Sending you a message
Stoked. It's a good group you're gonna love it
How do you like living in Sioux Falls? I visited over the summer and it seemed like a nice city.
