Trump exposed DC for what it has been for decades. The FBI being corrupt, the CIA going around the President, foreign aid being used to launder money to politicians and their buddies, regulations being used to give big competitors the edge, media being nothing more than propaganda, ect ect aren't really new issues people have with DC. But prior to Trump there wasn't much in the way of clarity on how it worked, how deep it went or just how controlled the media is.

Now there's 10s of millions of Americans interested in whats going on and openly discussing what they see and we aren't letting the media control the narrative anymore, or at the very least not interested in what narrative they are selling. We also have a figurehead in Trump who can keep the movement pointing in the same direction, and who it seems will be starting separate media/social media platforms that aren't controlled by the corrupt actors.

They may have managed to claw back control of the government for now, but to do so they had to expose themselves by pulling out all the tricks they had and weren't able to hide what they were doing. They don't have popular support, they don't have an iron grip on the system like they did previously and they can't undo what has happened.

Who knows how this plays out, but Trumps greatest gift to the country is exposing just how damaging their corruption really is to this country and the world, and by exposing a reality they tried do hard for so long to keep hidden from a majority of Americans. He changed the course of history even if he didn't win this round, whether that's for the better or worse won't be something we know anytime soon, but he gave the country a fighting chance to figure out who the corrupt were, and now it's up to everyone to start pushing these people out of power.
