51 My daughter is 18 and wants to be an engineer. She is willing to take on 150k plus of College debt to achieve this. My son is 16. I'm urging him to become a mechanic, or a plumber, and he'll probably make just as much as her with one tenth the debt. The problem is no low debt options for women. If I could do it over I honestly would have just been an electrician or plumber - even a car mechanic.
