Thanks for replies. Mods were victim of some idiot who stole the domain is best understanding I have of this. Thanks to mods for all their work, this site has been great and was the ONLY place for a while when parler was down and gab fully overloaded.
they did have a redirect briefly, sadly a rogue mod ended the other domain

They never had control of the url redirect whatever it's called.
You buy a domain name. Then from that you point to a host server.
The url & host are two different purchases and can be with 2 different companies.
They had the actual data but not the domain name.
