I'm sticking with Gab. It has been working much better this past week and I see huge potential there to make it exactly what I want/need it to be. I am still on facebook mostly because of the groups I belong to. Interestingly enough, groups that have no political affiliation at all have discussed moving to gab due to fb's abritrary bans, fact checks, and fb timeouts. Either 75 percent of the people in these groups are conservatives and I didn't know it, or gab isn't thought of as a white supremacist social media platform the way some referred to parler. Once I get my family over to gab, I can finally get the fuck off facebook. If my groups don't end up moving, I can always start my own!
I agree completely. Any speech contrary to someone's person or beliefs can be potentially construed as "hate speech" which is to say, offensive. Back in the day, if you didn't like what someone was saying, you either refused to listen further or punched them in the face.
I wonder if some of these sites are being used to collect and collate data in order to use it against us. I'm suspicious of every tech company these days. Maybe I'm just cynical or something......
Everything you do is subject to investigation once they can nail you on a simple charge. They just need a legal justification to turn your life upside down and tear through your house taking anything that can be used against you. Things that would never justify prison let alone a warrant that can and will be used to create a narrative of "probability" while they use corrupt judges and prosecutors to hide evidence of your innocence. From Flynn to every death row inmate who was exonerated through DNA evidence.

Gab is not perfect, but it's loading for me lately. If it gives me too much trouble I just go back to here.
