The Patriot Act was a response to a real threat. This is just straight tyranny.
No, the USA PATRIOT ACT - Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism - meant that the NSA could justify warrantless spying on all US citizens with the excuse of "we are protecting you from the terrorist." Now with the evil-white-devil-patriots deemed as domestic terrorist, they will spy on all with legal standing saying, "Well we gotta protect you from the domestic terrorist."
Yet they've become the domestic terrorist, they must sleep so well at night!

The point is that Trump supporters aren’t a terrorist threat and Islamic terrorists are. Whether or not the patriot act set a bad legal precedent, it is obviously more justified to spy on Bin Laden than it is to spy on Trump.
