Not quite.. it's from software that selects pictures that match the shading and outline of each "pixel" and aligns it in a rough mosaic pattern matching the original image, then adjusts the opacity of each individual picture to enhance the image. It's still a mosaic- just lame due to the contrast adjustment.
The contrast of the pictures is just shaded to give definition to the lines. It has nothing to do with an opaque foreground image. Scroll the fuck in and look.
I honestly hate these fake "mosaics". It's just a grid of pictures for a background, And an actual photo in the foreground with opacity turned down.
