Well - it is true.

https://websterjournal.com/2020/09/10/kamala-harris-is-a-prison-abolitionists-worst-nightmare/ https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/20/magazine/kamala-harris-crime-prison.html

And I have an easy but rhetorical question: What's the difference between prisoners cheap labour and slavery ? If they shall be imprisoned - ok,but market prices for their work minus costs of keeping them in prison.Otherwise keeping people in prisons is too affordable to not be abused. And it looks Kemala Haris is famous for that infamous practice so...

I believe the market price for their work is often less than the cost of keeping them imprisoned. It depends on the state, of course.

Even if... So what ?

It depends on the state, of course.

If there wouldn't be so big problem there wouldn't be so many Americans in prisons, and not so many prisons not being state/federal. Keeping people in prisons is somehow affordable in America. It shouldn't be allowed to be profitable because on free not regulated market any demand would meet supply as long it is profitable - that is how market(s) works

And legal - when it is about legal products because black market will supply demand for illegal "goods" (for example outlawing illegal drugs isn't about free market at all,it is government intervention to make them less affordable and accessible).

Unfortunately even if Q will be true and we will get rid paedophile "elites" problem with some paedophiles and mafia will probably stay, all we are able to do is to make it minimal and not allowing it to be protected by the state. Unless really all knowing almighty god will intervene himself some day.
