I don't have a problem with that clause, but I definitely think it needs to be disciplined and restricted to public good projects, e.g., separating trash from recycling.
Well why not hire Americans that are in need of work? We have more people than we have jobs by more than twice as many people as there are jobs. And honestly, I can tell you that WM just sends it all to China regardless and when China lowered the price they were willing to pay for recycleables, WM hiked their cost of service without warning.
A lot of it has to do with how do properly value work. Some work may be valuable but it is hard to organize the costs/revenue/profits surrounding it properly.
