You see, having a lot of male stock (of any animal type) can be a bit of a problem. Particularly if they are intact. Hormones and a large male population tend to result in damage to each other, damage to female stock, and possibly even killing of juvenile stock (let alone damage to property).
Solutions include:
Making Stallions Geldings (chopping the balls off a stallion)
Making Bulls Steers (chopping the balls off a bull. Can also be called oxen or bullocks if kept to adulthood and made to work as beasts of burden). Alternatively, making bulls veal.
Making Rams Wethers (chopping the balls off a ram). Alternatively, making rams into a lamb roast
Making Roosters Nuggets (grinding baby male chicks into paste)
Making Boars Barrows (chopping the balls off a boar). Alternatively, making them into bacon.
It's okay to practice eugenics in animal populations to keep desired traits for agricultural purposes, and raising animals agriculturally tends to have a lot more shit and blood involved than sunshine and lollipops.
