There has always been this subculture in the liberty movement that comes off like, "all you need to do is such and such legal technicality and all the abuses of power will go away". No it won't.
They actually believe the same thing the Left does about gun laws but just can't admit it. Namely they believe the existence of a rule guarantees compliance.
But laws don't enforce themselves and it takes courageous individuals to do so consistently.
Unfortunately, courage is in short supply these days.
