The Senate does not have the power to convict a private citizen.

34
BasedBurckhardt 34 points ago +34 / -0

Maybe but they're going to anyways and nobody is going to stop them.

4
Equality72521 4 points ago +4 / -0

That doesn't mean that they won't do it. Congress, as a whole, is now a criminal enterprise.

Marina 24 points ago +24 / -0

I don’t know but WE THE PEOPLE need to oust that corrupt China Slave.

They do when we show up on their doorsteps.

They just stole the presidency and then 2 senate seats while everyone was watching. They have no more fucks to give and will just steal everything now.

lol this

JoePlumber 13 points ago +13 / -0

IDK why we even care. Or Trump should. They can't really do anything to him. Congress lost their ability to do anything (remove him) when his term expired.

They're just doing this to keep hating on Trump.

jbDonuts 6 points ago +7 / -1

This is the beginning of the campaign against Trump 2024 If Trump is still our last best hope in 2024, we deserve to lose. We have 2.5 years to find a new champion and force him/her on the R establishment.

7
jrgreen73 7 points ago +7 / -0

We have 2.5 years to find someone who is willing to go through the same torment that Trump and his family endured.

7
jbDonuts 7 points ago +8 / -1

In that same time WE must get more involved at the "grassroots" locally. We put it all on Trump's shoulders and expected him to deliver us results, and all we had to do is shitpost and upvote. That's always going to be a losing formula.

2
jrgreen73 2 points ago +2 / -0

All true. Many on the left are unemployable at anything other than activism and election fraud. Meanwhile conservatives are working at real jobs and many cannot devote themselves to activism to the same degree as Democrats. Even if we had a conservative Soros to pay people under the table to rabble-rouse it wouldn’t work because conservatives have self respect and they’re not gonna give up their real jobs for that kind of nonsense.

Also to make it so that our elections are legitimate.

1
borscht-nazi 1 point ago +1 / -0

😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂😅😆

👆🏻 it still believes it can be fixed with voting.

1
jbDonuts 1 point ago +1 / -0

Vote, or don't. The GoP is going to run a PotUS candidate regardless. The dog-and-pony show we call elections aren't going away. I personally don't plan on voting, (I'll be pursuing other forms and expressions of patriotism), but the candidate is still important to the national conversation.

borscht-nazi 0 points ago +1 / -1

Whatever floats your boat.

4
whatafiasco 4 points ago +4 / -0

They can deny him a presidential library and secret service protection. They want him erased.

2
JoePlumber 2 points ago +2 / -0

He can make his own library and afford his own security. They can't really do anything to him.

1
ughicanteven 1 point ago +2 / -1

they can block him from running in 2024. that's what this is really about. house dems even admitted it. We may end up with 60 people deciding that 75+ million people aren't allowed to vote for somebody

1
D357 1 point ago +1 / -0

Allowed?! If Trump says he’s running again I say I’m voting for him.

1
ughicanteven 1 point ago +1 / -0

well if they convict him they only need a simple majority to completely block him from running. that's what they will try to do. Republicans also have a vested interest in this because they want him out of the picture, so yes, we don't want him convicted. it matters. They are trying to reshape the narrative and tell a big lie that he incited "insurrection" - these are the narrative games the left plays and rolling over and letting them do it is just what they want.

3
MAG_n_KAG 3 points ago +3 / -0

The worst part isnt that Trump would be blocked from running in 2024. Its that he would lose his Secret Service protection. If that happens, that would be a death sentence. Trump has massive influence and knows too much. That scares alot of powerful people.

Texas

ProphetOfKek 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was thinking about that. If you are an expat watching your transplant country screw itself over, it’s a lot easier to be detached than watching your own do the same.

JoePlumber 0 points ago +2 / -2

But what's the point? He's not going to run in 2024 he'll be 78. He can still lead the movement fake impeached or not. DTJ or Ivanka could run too.

5
JoePedoCheated 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ivanka loves her dad, but she has too many globalist tendencies, especially with Kushner attached.

Junior would be great, though.

2
2ScoopsofCovfefe 2 points ago +5 / -3

Are you retarded?!? Ivanka is a leftist and always has been. Her and jared were 2 snakes in the administration. People stumping for ivanka show they didnt pay attention for 4 years.

Prominent Republican equal Mitt Romney. No one gives a fuck what that traitor thinks.

3
Jonald_Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is a roll call. A roll call of Senators who want to have a political life after this sham impeachment. Their 2, 4 or 6 years left in their current terms they will have to dodge the Patriot Caucus and it’s 70 million members every day. We will do to them what the leftist already do to them in public spaces. Just wait, frens, just wait.

A prominent Republican is a thing of the past. The Republicans are about as relevant as the Whigs.

2
MemeLawd 2 points ago +2 / -0

If this happens we are all going to KY for a good ole fashioned street campout and BBQ

2
Negativekarmabait 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump should send newly pardoned lil wayne as his lawyer. Day one of the trial he just stands on the senate floor and says "unconstitutional, so Fuck yall, i'm out." And then drop the mic and walk out.

This impeachment is a joke and should be treated as one. any effort by trump to treat it as serious is a waste.

2
Womp_womp 2 points ago +2 / -0

Impeachment isn't a legal process. It's a political one. It's the only "jury" you're allowed to tamper with and buy off with political donations.

2
Smurfection 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's a total partisan political stunt. This has nothing to do with "high crimes and misdemeanors".

FUCK daily caller. Don't link to it.

1
MrStep 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe this is "the plan" - in order to remove him, they have to put him back in office!

Nah, the plan was to pull a soft coup using vote fraud.

1
GoingCamaro 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's civil disobedience time, people.

1

Convict him with what fucking evidence. I hope everyone who votes to convict has their houses torched by BLM and/or Pantifa.

The Whigs were taken down by the Republican Party in the 1850s.

The Democrats and Whigs were essentially a uniparty solely interested in protecting slavery. They campaigned on issues such as taxation, trade policy, banking and infrastructure spending and ignored the big question of slavery.

Abolitionism (movement in favor of banning slavery for those who don't know their U.S. history) was a grassroots movement and was the push behind the destruction of the old guard Conservative Whig party. The Abolitionists formed the Free Soil Party, which wasn't huge on its own, but they grew in size when many Whigs abandoned their political party largely for 2 reasons -

  1. The Uniparty (coalition of Democrats and Whigs) protecting slavery even though Whig party members turned abolitionist (a sizeable majority) were openly against it.

  2. The Free Soil Party supported the very causes the Whig Party refused to in defiance of their Whig constituents.

Now it's pedophilia and selling out to China instead of slavery but history can repeat itself.

1
Moebius [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Slavery is still a big issue...it's just disguised as 'Immigration'. The Next Best thing to Slave Labor is Slave Wages...that way they get their avocados and oranges picked cheap and can virtue signal at the same time.
