Pork belly prices are going crazy. Dropped through the floor then shot up again this month. I think it's COVID rules in the meat-packing plants again, forced culls in China too.
Best time was March/April last year, bought a few and butchered them myself because the hog guys had to get rid of them or just slaughter them. Not necessarily related to grain markets though.
That’s how the cycles go every year....
Price of crops doesn't fall in January of each year.
It doesn’t usually spike in December either. My best contract prices are usually during planting in April/May.
