But if the MSM (and the school system, institutions, etc. etc. etc.) repeatedly again and again and again and again and again and again and again told us that the Nazis engaged in extreme genocide, and the MSM (and related) keeps ignoring or downtalking the absolute ludicrously extreme genocides committed by the Soviet Union, by the communists in China, etc. etc. etc., how can their claims reg. the Nazis be trusted or verified?
I don't want to get too much into this because it would turn into an echo chamber, but the way the nazis were turned into an almost cartoonish level of villainy even decades ago is what really perked up my ears. Nobody ever agrees on anything, yet everybody agrees (at least that is how it's portrayed) that nazis were the absolute worst thing to ever beset the earth? I'm sure they were plenty bad -- there has to be an element of truth for a lie to be truly convincing -- but... c'mon, man.
You can see the same phenomena being established right now with slavery in America (80 years worth... omg!) vs the rest of the world (millennia's worth and in some cases still happening); yet America's brief dalliance with it is the worst scourge in history. C'mon, man!!!
Nazis don't have the highest death toll out of authoritarian regimes, but the mechanization of genocide makes them pretty objectively evil by everyone. It's hard to compare to communist China that killed millions more out of sheer incompetence. "Ooops, we've created a massive famine" loses to "Get in the cattle car, jew".
It's probably our western bias as well, as most people don't even know about the atrocities of Imperial Japan.
