I'm aware of that, I just like pointing out how similar the leadup to it has been to what's going on now so people get their heads on straight about what's happening. Taxation without representation, killings of people that speak up, being labeled as terrorists, etc.
It's still going to take time, but I doubt it'll take us as long as it took them because information didn't travel as fast back then so outrage over actions spread slower than it does now.
