this, unions are shit, and in 2020 cause companies to go out of business, which is why they're primarily only still around in gov jobs where there is no company to go out, just more leaching off the taxpayer... but I would revel in walmart and amazon getting backhanded by unions.
Unions are good in a free market, so when workers are treated like shit at Amazon they can band together to push back with collective bargaining. And when unions are shit, workers can decide to leave and negotiate directly with their employer.
But when local governments mandate unions, or workers have zero choice in joining unions, they become mafia-level grift schemes to steal money from businesses and workers while serving no other purpose. Money that then goes back to the corrupt politicians. Just another reason metropolitan cities are so corrupt.
I'm not a blind fan of unions by any means, but I would LOVE to see amazon and walmart unionized to help take them down a few notches.
