Other officers can be seen down the hallway walking around with little concern, but this one cop decided deadly force was appropriate here instead of retreating into the area where the other officers were. There was no reasonable belief that she or anyone else was armed. I'm trying to think objectively, imagining my response if it was antifa breaking through the door like that and no, it wouldn't change my belief that shooting the person was the wrong action to take. You don't shoot anyone unless you are trying to prevent deadly force, the crowd was unruly and breaking barriers, but they weren't armed or outright going after other people. If this was antifa I'd have hoped the police officer backed down the hallway and got reinforcements or abandoned ship. This was an unjustified kill, shot should never have been taken, cop should be charged. Now, if the cop was running and the crows was running after him, yeah, fire away, but he wasn't, never tried to retreat, he put himself right there next to the door like he had to keep the people from entering even if it meant he would kill them. She didn't even see him, this was murder, media silence is incredibly telling and I've been bringing up Ms. Babbitt's name when I talk to friend, liberal or otherwise, as one more example of the media's bias lately and people are either feigning ignorance or looking down in defeat.

Well, "they" haven't released his name or punished him in any way as far as we know, and if they are covering for him, they are complicit.
