The term "Racism" was popularized (and maybe even invented) by the mass-murdering psychopathic communist, Leo Trotsky. The neutral, non-pejorative term is "ethno-centrism".

Too much ethnocentrism is probably bad. But a little bit may be a good thing. Every culture and group has a right to exist.

European societies are the LEAST ethno-centric in the world. Many of the people who make careers out of calling others "racist" are themselves from the MOST entho-centric cultures in the world.

The reason that Julian Assange is rotting in prison while Jonathan Pollard received a presidential pardon and a hero's welcome, is because Assange comes from a culture hostile to ethnocentrism. They won't fight for their own. And the latter comes from a voraciously ethno-centric culture which spent decades pressuring politicians for his release.
