It's called having aligned interests. If you have kids, you have an inherent bias towards having a long term stable and successful country. If you don't have kids, you might not give a shit what happens in the long term because you won't be around for it.
A childless person can still serve as a parental figure to or foster parent of others and leave behind an enduring legacy regardless. It's more accurate to say a selfish person makes a poor leader while a selfless one makes an awesome leader. Also it matters more what spiritual quality of kids you raise over the physical quantity of them.
Counterpoint, you can easily determine whether or not someone has children. Determinating whether or not someone is truly selfish is pretty much impossible with any certainty.
If you don't have kids, what is going to be your legacy when you move on? What would you protect above your own life? What means more to you than you? This is one of those things that I changed views on when I became a parent. It's a little bit of an indicator that this person is not just in it for themselves and intends to leave behind something better.
It's not a perfect formula. Creepy Joe's has a pedophile for a son who has a bastard child with a stripper and I don't deem any of them capable of leading a country. So clearly having kids doesn't qualify you, but not having kids IMO disqualifies you.
That's great and I wish you have a long and happy life - you can do anything you want. I wouldn't vote for you.
Also, on a side note, I never wanted kids. You may change. It's built into your DNA and it will be built into your wife's too. You don't even realize how shallow your life is pre-kids until you raise kids. But, it's not for everyone and I respect everyone seeking their own happiness.
Also, what are your thoughts on those women who, once they reach their 40s or 50s (or even for some when they reach their 30s), end up committing suicide due to a fear/realization that they will never have children (women's fertility fails much earlier for women than for men), their lines will end, and they never have a family of their own?
I have mild autism (while having a lot of academic achievements), and the kids are walking potential sensory triggers.
I am afraid that they will have autism, especially severe.
Given my gender situation, it’s not fair to have kids when I already get stressed by them.
I just never liked other kids growing up until like middle school. Even then, I’m too selfish to adopt a kid. Now I would absolutely adore having cats. (Yes, I’m on r-slash-Childfree)
I am way more focused on helping save America and achieve my career dreams anyways.
Those reasons sound very off and like something that could definitely be figured out or solved. Of course, you know much more about yourself than others do, but still. And there are incredibly extreme amounts of disinformation, manipulation, etc. etc. etc. targeted certain peoples.

Was it your friendly neighbourhood/TV psychologist that advised you on autism, medication, etc.?

Are you certain you would be stressed about your own children as well? Might this be worked out? How high a level of stress would it be? If they are that stressful, might getting one child, raise it for 3 years, and then see how it goes, make sense? Have you considered getting lots of advice and assistance from trusted family (either your family and/or your possible wife's)? Etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, this is complete bollocks.
Also: r-slash-Childfree ........ how many of the people there have children of their own and only seek to manipulate, stress, beat, undermine, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. others into not having children? Especially certain targeted people?
In case you do not understand these kinds of issues, I extremely strongly encourage you to go often to certain political parts of imageboards and wisely read and use them.

But who will then be around to fight future battles? And if you have capability, wouldn't it be bad if the world lost out on those capabilities, especially if you are the kind of person to help benefit the world (given that you fight for it)? Aren't more people like yourself needed both now and in the future?
This is true. Your kids reprioritize your life. Your number one concern is them and their future.
Yet I constantly see people saying they won't fight because 'muh kids'.
Don't forget that scene in The Patriot where Benjamin votes against war because "who will take care of my children" and is rebuked with "Wars are not fought only by childless men."

It's also why I would never vote for a leader who doesn't have kids.
Do an inventory some time on globalists who don't have kids.
I don't understand. You can be a good leader even if you don't have kids.

List of childless people (famous and less famous) and with some descriptions why they decided to be so in their own words:

I could just as easily say that if you have kids, you are a liability, because you will always put your kids before your country.
Possibly. There are always exceptions.

I never want kids under any circumstances AND I will only date/marry girls who never want kids.
I am also a huge Trump fan & patriot.
