It just makes no sense. You need the energy right? The demand isn't going away. Now you have to import the gas and oil instead of producing it yourselves.

It's a quick virtue signal for the environmental campaigners, but until the infrastructure for "clean" (lol) energy is built you are just handicapping your country.
