They TRIED. The GOP ignored them.

That's true. Ron Paul supporters gave it hell at taking over the GOP.

Then the Tea Party gave it a real serious go only to be marginalized by trying to play nice with scum like Mitch McConnell

Ron Paul's movement was miniscule compared to MAGA. We are the vast majority of the GOP. We just need to start wielding that power over the cucked out establishment.

I wanted to vomit watching his CYA moves in the week after Pelosi and Antifa set up our MAGA Patriots. Starting every show with a Priest, Rabbi, or minister leading in prayer. Then, warning Rudy that he wasn't going to let Rudy get his (Bannon's) show cancelled. Then finally, no more Jack Maxey.

Bannon can go cuddle up with Miles Guao for revenue going forward. Isnt' that what whores do?

The snake from the poem Trump was reciting.

What poem?

JaneMN 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sorry Its a song Trump quoted:

https://genius.com/Al-wilson-the-snake-lyrics

"I saved you," cried that woman

"And you've bit me even, why?

And you know your bite is poisonous and now I'm gonna die"

"Oh shut up, silly woman," said that reptile with a grin

"You knew damn well I was a snake before you brought me in"

We had the presidency and the GOP went to business as usual a day later. We try to take over the gop we will end up like the progressives. Ignored, forced to give unity speechs, forced to step in line. The uniparty lives in the 2 party system.

I have long contended that it's better to reconstruct from the inside. In light of recent realities I have changed my opinion on that, concluding instead that the GOP name is so tarnished and damaged that it is simply beyond repair. Much in the same way that the DNC has been ruined then replaced by a new fangled Socialist mask. Democratic Socialism to be specific.

Dem's left the D's in droves to join MAGA. They will never do that to join the GOP. But, they will for a MAGA, Patriot, or America First party.

How, exactly? By funneling money that just goes to ads nobody watches, fundraising mail that everyone throws away, call centers that everyone ignores?

Do they even campaign not just in districts they are close to winning, but solid blue districts? Or do we just write them off as a loss instead of offering a real policy like school choice or economic zones?

And when they stab us in the back, what happens? A censure? What does that do, exactly? What it doesn't do is strip them of their membership and force a new candidate instead of having a fake primary battle which unless they are a rock star like Trump is a guaranteed continuation of business as usual.

Trump wanted to teach them how to win. They played along just as long as they needed to simply because they aren't interested in winning.

They can't stab us in the back if they aren't in office.

I'm going with Bannon on this one... even getting a third party on the ballot is a long-term project in just about every state and territory. The Libertarians have been at for over 50 years - and made the ballots in 35 states and territories for 2020 (though they got on 50 in 2016). It is FAR easier to pull off a "hostile takeover" while at the same time not splitting the straight-line vote.

In that case, the patriot party as an organization must be instead focused on the hostile takeover path.

And it's more than just replacing candidates running for office but the internal leadership of the organization itself.

bingo... I attended a very local (blue county) MAGA event today and the motivated focus is cleaning out the Republican structure from local committees up through every elected office by promoting MAGA candidates every step of the way.

This is exactly right. 3rd parties never work. And one which will draw more from the GOP will ensure Democrat wins. Not only have the right party, but make sure your party is right is the phrase that some turn of the century (20th) republican put it. It would be much easier and productive to remake the GOP.

There is 91+% of Trump right now in the GOP. That means there's 9% that are old school GOP.

You want to purge the RINO's? You build a new party and pull that 91% to it. The remaining 9% will realize the GOP is dead and will HAVE to move. The ones that don't, shouldn't be in the party anyway as they're RINO's.

You kill two birds with one stone. You rebrand to show that this isn't the 80 year old white man movement anymore. We play by new rules now. We don't stick to dead tradition. By doing that, you force the RINO's away where they die on the vine. You're sending a message to EVERYONE that we're not going to go with the program anymore. We define the party. Not these Bush era faggots.

Madnote1984 2 points ago +2 / -0

You hit it exactly right. Maybe the patriot party doesn't even run a presidential candidate at first. All the funding goes to house seats. They would caucus with the GOP anyway and form as big of a block as always on key issues. The rub is, you slowly start to turn a majority of republican house seats into Patriot party seats over time by primarying rhinos and ineffective gop house members. This will put the fear of the base into the GOP. They either play ball, or get replaced. It isnt a zero sum game. People forget, we have had many parties in this country before. Only in the last century or so have we solidified into what we think of as the hard two-party government as it exists now.

2
Ldyluna 2 points ago +2 / -0

What makes 3rd parties such an exercise in futiity is the lack of revenue and the low numbers of people willing to commit to it's ranks.

Trump's policies laid out the platform for a MAGA, Patriot, or America First party. So, the logistical headache of creating a unifying platform is already taken care of.

MAGA has the numbers and here's the kicker ...

Corporat donors have yanked their support from the GOP because of the link to Trump and MAGA supporters.

If small donors stop financing GOP swamp monsters, and corporate shills stop financing GOP swamp monsters, and MAGA puts its money exclusively into a MAGA, Patriot, or America First Party, then the GOP will be crushed under the weight of its own graft.
