If the government ever shuts down again I better not hear one word about how they are struggling after being out of work a few weeks...remember how that would work? They would shut down government and then we would hear sob story after sob story about them not working a few weeks. Nevermind they would not work but still get to receive back pay. After the crap they have pulled this year with shutting down businesses, and now this, they are never again allowed to complain.
This was the same for me as a fed gov't contractor. I didn't mind though, because I didn't have to waste time talking to any of the gov't workers or call into their meetings.
How about we apply the same standard to government workers.

And then they were paid for all the time they didn’t work.
And it sure as heck was more than $600!
Full wages every time.
So they got paid for the service they provided in any other month, you say?
That's what back pay means :)

Halfway there already. They've already outsourced the Federal government to foreign laborers.
