If a domain like NotMyPresident.com were redirected to the Whitehouse I'm pretty sure it would be blocked.
If this isn't being done already, could be an interesting test and red pill opportunity.

Not directly without having access to the White House website servers to see where incoming requests are coming/being redirected from.
The best you could do is start doing DNS record lookups on known domains or through a brute force search. Or trying to make an HTTP GET request on the domain and see if that web server redirects you.
It would be very hacky and slow either way.
