Everyone has seen weird stuff at Wal Shart as well I know.
Thing is, we're in Texas. The trafficking business was hurting pretty bad over the last 4 years. I think it's open season again thanks to the current occupation in DC.
(Before you start up with the why are you shopping there? That is entirely irrelevant to what I just told you)
Keep you're loved ones safe.
That's a pretty big gap, but unfortunately where I live would also fall into that region. As a younger woman, I'm always extra cautious because SE Texas is a big hub for trafficking.
yes, been a lot of traffickers caught in the Houston area.
I've had 2 different experiences in Houston that I'm about 99% sure were close calls with traffickers. Once in a parking lot and another at the Galleria. The parking lot one was the scariest because it was probably my 2nd day living in Texas and I really think I would have been taken if my mom hadn't walked up at the right moment. I was unloading my car at a hotel and a dude came driving up and tried to talk to me through the window, saying how I was pretty and shit. I told him thanks but no thanks and that I was in a relationship. He drove off, but then a minute later pulled back around and came up to me. Literally right at that moment, my mom walked back to the car and the dude sped off. Gives me chills thinking about it.
Shit! What kind of cautionary steps do you have to take?? Are there any places that are especially worse than others?
Avoid road side stops like the plague. I’d rather my kids pee their pants.
Infuriating and horrifying that such a blatant danger to women and children is being heavily downplayed and minimized by ... women. Liberal women are so nasty.
Are there lots of stories about women being kidnapped at rest stops in your area?
Not that I’ve heard lately. But while I was in college in Waco about 15 years ago, some kids were abducted in the bathroom there and another lady witnessed two people talking about getting a girl from a bathroom stall while her parents were in their car.
I just try to be extra aware of my surroundings, and I also don't really like going anywhere alone at night, even if its just the grocery store or gas station. I pretty much make my husband run any nighttime errands like that. I also keep a knife on me whenever I go running.
Dots on the car windows. That was the story from relatives in Georgia. They were marking the cars of women who were alone.
Man, how awful. What a disgusting situation. Shocking that so many women are not at all concerned with serious problems like this.
I never like playing the woman victim card, but in all reality, it is actually a pretty scary world out there for women. But my fears are related to rape, abduction, and violence...not Presidents tweeting "mean" things or all the other menial shit women are always whining about. Then we have these idiot Liberal women voting for policies that allow any man who identifies as a woman into our restrooms, locker rooms, and every other space that otherwise would be a private space for women. Add in the millions of undocumented illegals heading our way as we speak, and I predict its about to be open season on American women :(
keep calm CARRY ON
