I realize this. But the House and Senate are responsible for passing laws that the Executive enforces. If the Democrats really want to amend their laws to prevent deportations and release detained illegals, then they have the power to do so, especially with their new control of both chambers.

But Pelosi will probably allow Biden’s governing by E.O. because passing unpopular laws has consequences, and she’d rather avoid the debate.
