If any of you have been following the crazy shit going on with GameStop (GME) stock and r/WallStreetBets this week, you may be aware that a lot of establishment attention, both financial and political, is now directed at that sub.
Long story short, they pulled some shit, bought a metric fuckton of GameStop stock and call options (a call is a bet that the stock will go up essentially), and did it in such huge quantities that it fucked over a lot of short seller and financial industry type people. It might get worse next week, cause WSB sees this as a “rob from the rich and give to the poor” type thing, plus memes are awesome so GME to the moon and shit.
Anyways, it’s highly likely IMO that the powers that be, at some point, are going to pull the plug on WSB, and I think we should offer them free speech sanctuary here on .win.

You'd probably be better off suggesting a community. Go over to the communities section and go to "meta" to post a suggestion.
There's other people making request for financial/stock stuff. I've put in a suggestion like the myself.
I agree. It’s kind of an alt-sub anyways and probably has limited life where it is hosted now.

Of course, they are. They want it all. Your 401K's everything. First, they build it up, then tear it down. The money does not disappear. It goes somewhere. I wish they were smart enough to give more than they take. You can make a fortune helping people and they will love you for it. But one hit here or there seems such a waste. But that's me. What can I tell you?
